Jack and Jill of America, Inc

As the Teen President of our local chapter, I've had the amazing chance to really make a difference where we live. Right now, I'm organizing a Holiday Toy  & Food Drive in December 2024. We're planning a big Community drive to gather toys and food for families in five different zip codes around north Tulsa. I'm also leading the charge of organizing a 4-day Regional Teen Leadership Conference for June 2025, where we're expecting over 400 teens to join us. Being part of Jack and Jill has taught me so much about leadership, brought me incredible friendships, and helped me connect more deeply with my community.

My past accomplishments with Jack and Jill have been:

  • Helping organize our Annual Community Baby Shower table where we partnered with the American Red Cross. We passed out CPR Kits, conducted blood pressure checks, and educated young families on healthy eating habits by providing healthy recipes.
  • Our Annual Living Museum where we research, write a biography as well as dress up as the characters of famous figures from history, and educate Families in the local Barnes and Nobles as they stop and inquire about the different people. This fosters the love for literacy within the Tulsa community.

Gymnastics

I originally started gymnastics as a way to share an activity with my sister, who has Autism and experiences anxiety in certain situations. Upon joining, I discovered a passion for the sport that went beyond just being close to my sister. Gymnastics quickly became a way for me to develop discipline, resilience, and physical fitness. It has taught me the importance of perseverance, goal-setting, and time management.

Through gymnastics, I have also learned the significance of teamwork and support, as we constantly encourage each other to push our limits. This experience has not only strengthened my bond with my sister but also equipped me with valuable skills that will benefit me in higher education and beyond.

Musical Theatre

I have had the honor of participating in ten musicals & theatre productions, showcasing my acting, singing, dancing, and choreography skills. Since 2021, I have also embraced the role of choreographer for various dance numbers. My experience includes performing in "Hello Dolly" (2019), "Bye Bye Birdie" (Summer production 2019), "Frozen, Jr." (2020), "Music Man" (2021) "High School Musical" (Summer production 2022), "Newsies" (2022), "White Christmas" (2023), "Mean Girls" (2024), and the lead role of Hermoine in Oklahoma's first production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (2024) and the role of Roxie Hart in the upcoming production of "Chicago" in March 2025.

Through these experiences, I have developed valuable attributes such as leadership, creativity, collaboration, and dedication. These qualities have not only enhanced my contributions to each production but I believe it's also prepared me for the rigorous and dynamic environment of higher education.

Rock Band

As a lead singer of my high school rock band (Studder Puppy), which primarily plays Indie Rock, I have had the incredible opportunity to perform at renowned venues such as the Historic Cain's Ballroom and in front of a crowd of 4,000 in Austin, as well as at our school's annual fundraiser, Llamapalooza.

Through these experiences, I have developed strong leadership and teamwork skills, honed my ability to perform under pressure, and cultivated a deep sense of commitment and dedication. These attributes have not only enriched my musical journey but also prepared me for a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Film

I have always loved writing short stories and immersing myself in reading, as it provides an escape from my busy life and the constant responsibilities of being a big sister. Learning to write, produce, and edit movies has further expanded my creative outlets, allowing me to express myself in diverse ways. In 2024, my film was shown at the historic Circle Cinema of Tulsa.  These activities have honed my skills in creativity, critical thinking, and attention to detail.

Additionally, the process of movie production has taught me project management, collaboration, and effective communication, all of which are essential for success in higher education and future careers.

Fine Art & Design

Growing up in a family of creative artists and designers, I naturally developed a passion for art and design thinking. Attending a high school focused on Design Thinking has been incredibly enriching, allowing me to deeply explore both fields. Whether I'm illustrating my own short stories, painting landscapes, or using design thinking to solve real-world problems, I find immense joy and fulfillment in the process. Through these experiences, I've developed essential skills like creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability, which have profoundly shaped my personal and professional growth.

Being part of Riverfield Country Day's Varsity Cheerleading Squad taps into my passion from gymnastics and dance, allowing me to support and inspire my teammates. This experience has significantly shaped my character, instilling values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Entrepreneur

I'm a freelance artist who loves creating websites (like this site and others), illustrations, and photography. Growing up in a family of talented artists, I've been playing with art—both digital and traditional—since I was a kid. These experiences have shaped me into a creator who pays attention to the smallest details, adores telling stories through art, and is all about bringing imagination to reality.
